Reading Your NAT Files in Plain English
Ten files make one set of claims about your RTO. Here is what each one holds.
A full AVETMISS submission can include ten NAT files. Together they describe who you are, where you deliver, what you teach and who did what.
| File | What it holds |
| NAT00010 | Training organisation |
| NAT00020 | Delivery locations |
| NAT00030 | Program |
| NAT00060 | Subject |
| NAT00080 | Client (student) |
| NAT00085 | Client contact |
| NAT00090 | Disability |
| NAT00100 | Prior educational achievement |
| NAT00120 | Training activity |
| NAT00130 | Program completed |
The files have to agree with each other. A row in the training activity file points at a student, a program, a subject and a delivery location held in other files. Break one of those links and the file is structurally invalid, not just carrying a warning.
Which files your own reporting needs depends on your registration and any funding arrangements, so confirm that against current specifications.
