Month-End Habits for Clean Compliance Data
A short monthly routine is cheaper than a long repair job before submission.
Most data problems are easy to fix in the month they happen. A fixed monthly slot, even an hour, keeps them that way.
- Check for duplicate students created in the last month.
- Confirm the month's delivery is recorded, including anything delivered but not yet entered.
- Look for blank required fields on new records.
- Review new programs and units, and confirm their scope status.
- Check delivery locations for anything opened, moved or retired.
- Preview the export and read the validation results, errors first.
Keep a simple log of what you found each month. After a quarter, the repeat offenders are obvious, and that is where a process change pays off.
Upskroll lets you preview the export files and run validation at any point, so the monthly check does not have to wait for submission.
